Recently, NHK is broadcasting their yearly serial drama that is based on the novel wrote by Inoue Yasushi(井上靖) named as ”風林火山”. It mainly delineates the feud of ”takeda” of how them becoming a potent force in the period of choatic disunion of Japanese island. It nonetherless converges its main character to a legend, the military counsellor of ”takeda”, ”Yamamoto Kansuke”(山本勘助).

A living legend he himself staggers due to his right leg be broken by his mother as in childhood, blinds his left eye with a long sloping scar which was made by father with wooden katana. His lover pregenant and devoted but is murdered by a tyrant, takeda’s former ruler since ”Takeda Shingen”(武田信玄) ostracized, with arbituary killing, it seems all miseriers come up with him. The serial is still broadcasting at Sunday night on NHK. Why they choose the character this time is, in my opinion, to encourage people to stand forward and optimistic in one’s life. Because an old, disabled and half-blinded man can do such prominent and illustrious career in his extroadinary lifespan, we also do as well as brilliant and flamboyant things going through our live, though different circumstances compared with his era. Thereof, let’s tune on what happened in his life pages by pages, to well probe and dig out thoroughly his legendary ebb and flow.
