While I was lingering with myself under the hot moon
I looked up the clouds
Visualizing my bed
And me on top of that.
“Hello! Are you waiting for number 54 too?”
I looked around and smiled
Lad, you came in the right time
“Yeah! Do you know whether it has passed already?”
“No, it is scheduled to be here after 4 to 5 minutes.”
I looked into his deep watery eyes
They are revealing their master’s solitary heart
And mine escaped.
Reminded about how it’s like being abandoned
I looked to see whether the bus has arrived or not
And I heard his voice again,
“Why are you walking back and forth?”
“Because I am cold, I don’t have my jacket with me.”
I looked freezing too
“Do you want mine?”
“Oh no, that’s alright, thanks.”
And so we started our conversation
I looked affable and outspoken
Amazed by how honest he is
I request myself to enjoy this chat.
“I have no friends, and my parents are down at San Diego.”
I looked shaky
My innate novelty propelled me to ask more
And he really started to talk about himself.
He is twenty one, student from where I am studying, US citizen.
I looked at his dark skin and fine stature
“I believed that you are not born here though”
“Obviously, from my stronger accent than yours”
The bus came and we continued
I looked at him from behind and we get closer
“I like to hang out with girls too
But I avoid that because I don’t like to do mistakes.”
We make mistakes, not by doing them
I looked at him with sympathy
“So have you?”
He gave me a lost grin.
He began his story.
Gongo got off before me
Looking beyond the clouds out there above the windows
I remember his words before disappearing behind the doors
“Just see whether we may meet again someday, sometime.”
At least I heard a story.
