I have a friend. Her birthday is tomorrow. She will be 19 years old on January 18th.

I have a friend. She is taking the same speech class as I do and she sits with me during class. She talks about Celine Dion while I comment on Debussy's Voiles today during our presentation.

I have a friend. We met each other the first few days we've arrived in the States. She looks like one of my old friend back in Macau, and our friendship develops steadily since then.

I have a friend. "Tomorrow's my birthday, would you like to come with xxx, xxx and xxx to my house?" she asked.

"You will be 19 then?"
"Yup...well...kind of sad.."
"Why? Coz you'll be older than me (haha~)?"
"Well...I will be 20 next year then..."
"Oh yes, actually, we're old folks now~ hai~"
"HAI~ I am afraid of that '2'....I think I must act like an adult if I am twenty years old. I feel much pressure, and I think I am not prepared to face that challenge yet."
"See how we can do this year then. Study hard, work hard, learn...by expreiencing life."

And behind us sat a 19 years old classmate who is married and has a 2 month old son. She told us that last week when we were discussing our group project.

She is even thinner than me. A head shorter....
