I’m scared to say it, but I miss your iron shirt
I miss how you keep our small house afloat
I miss that annoying phlegm clear of your throat

I miss your reminders of, "Honey, I will go to bed"
I miss you watering my flowers and shampooing my head

I miss your attention to little details
Like cleaning the kitchen and laundry and mail

I miss your stink feet

I miss your bill paying
I miss how you sometimes come home with smiling

I miss our spa-rood drinking and cold Diet Coke
I miss your boring work talk and your laughs at my jokes

You can be annoy and practical and sometimes uptight
But at the end of the day you make everything right

And the fact that you love me I miss most of all
(And it sure helps you’re loyal and handsome and tall)
