Tasting - Five South Australia Shiraz

Wooing Tree Rose 2006 Central Otago 13.5%

22 C: light rose, some pink orange

21 N: some white flowers, tangerine, orange peer, then some fresh cream, very clean and elegant

20 T: light, a little sour, sweet, tangerine juice, lemonade, cream pie

20 F: short, balanced,如果做成氣泡酒應該會頗受歡迎. 還不錯的餐前酒,淡淡而優雅的花香,相信大多數女孩子應該會喜歡

PS.第一支酒是加碼請客讓大家開胃,頗不錯的開始~

 

Gumpara Barrosa Valley Old Vine Shiraz 2005 14.5%

22 C: purple red

22 N: rich cream, violet, custard jam, dark chocolate, cookie, then some fresh grassy, hint of mint, followed by some oak and milk candy

20 T: 微酸,medium body,單寧稍嫌粗糙,pepper, creamy, liquorices, oak wood, some obvious berries

21 F: medium, 醒酒之後酸度頗高, sweet young red fruits. Balanced but w/ few complexes at the end, good for lamb chop

樹齡: 75yo

 

Kalleske Greenock Shiraz 2006 15.5%

23 C: deep purple red

22 N: some animals, tobacco, a little earthy, then some black currant, cherry, pear, beautiful oak wood, very fruity

22 T: 微酸,medium body, round and rich, full of tannins, good texture and structure, some cream and liquorices, raw pepper, 醒酒之後單寧相當柔順好喝,酒體也較多汁

22 F: long, good balanced. Very matured and good variant, some plum,八仙果皮,rich red fruits, also some wood cask at the end. It’s ready to drink and also good to keep it in stock. Suitable for Filet, pizza

樹齡: 50yo

 

Lou Miranda Leone Old Wine Shiraz 2005 14.5%

23 C: deep purple red

23 N: rich, elegant, fruit jam,動物麝香,leather, cream, then some black currant, chocolate, and white pepper

23 T: full body,酸度適中, a little ALC, creamy, black berry, currant, very fruity, very good structure,單寧豐富,後轉為細緻,但酒體卻讓人感覺相當肉慾

23 F: long, very long, some new wood cask, tobacco, well matured, berries, custard jam, 動物麝香, coffee bean, very good balanced and complexes. Suitable for lamb steak, it’s ready to drink. My favorite tonight!

樹齡: 90yo

 

Best Winery Great Western Bin No.0 Shiraz 2003 14.5%

24 C: deep, dark purple red

23 N: custard jam, fruity, creamy, very rich and deep, followed by some black currant, deep violet,仙草, concentrated

23 T: full body,酸度夠,單寧豐富,但稍粗糙. very creamy, black currant, rich w/ good texture, macchiato

22 F: long, rich fruit, creamy, some caramel, good extension and balanced,應可至少再沉放3~5yo

樹齡: 109~143yo

 

Warrenmang Estate Shiraz 2004 14.5%

21 C: purple

21 N: deep, elegant spices, black berry, currant, a little pepper, sweet red fruit, but few complexes at the end

21 T: medium,微酸,單寧適中,但仍稍嫌粗糙, liquorices, pepper, berries, young and sweet

21 F: medium, balanced. blue berry jam,仙草, a little coffee bean, apricot, young fresh grass, grapefruit juice

樹齡: 45yo

 

結論: 可能樣品數不夠,但這樣喝下來必須坦言,老藤並不代表著老酒,但香氣的變化似乎還是較大. 如何看待一支好喝的紅酒,酒莊本身對品質的要求,釀造的方式,年份和適飲期等因素,仍舊決定了他的品質.老藤,似乎代表著酒莊的歷史成份較高吧~~
