San Francisco Bay Area, Honey's Homecoming
It had almost been 3 months since sweety honey last visited me here in the U.S.. Although it was just a month ago that I visited her in Christchurch during her exam break, I still felt it had been ages since we saw each other. As usual, I was so excited to see her that I could not sleep well the night before. Well, actually, I had to get up early in the morning, just to do some final cleaning of the house :-) Of course, I did not forget to bring a cup of hot tea and two boxes of chocolates, just for my honey.
Since I was late in greeting her last time she came, I did not want to be late again this time. I checked the arrival time of 12:50 pm and I was at the airport 12:35 pm. I kept staring at the arrival monitor as the flight status changed from "estimated time to arrive" to "arrived" to "at custom". I quickly turned my attention to the arrival lobby camera to see if she were coming out. However, there were a lot of flights arriving at the same time, and after 20 minutes, I still did not see the sight of her. Just when I started to worry about whether she had a hard time with the customs, I saw her in the camera. I quickly walked towards the front of the lobby to greet her, but as she was walking out, she pretended that she did not see me :-( She was playing with me, of course. We gave each other a big hug, and then we walked hand in hand to the parking. (Well, we wanted to show more affection than just a big hug, but given the fact that there were kids around, we had to keep the reception at a "G" rating :-) ) Well, once we got into the car, I just could not help it and gave her a kiss. Oh, how I miss you, honey. :-)
On our way back home, we stopped by some Japanese market to get some lunch. Originally, I was planning to take her to a bigger and better Japanese market, but I could not find it after turning a few corners. In addition, honey's headache was getting worse as I was making those turns. (Sorry honey). We decided to go home and get some rest instead. Just right before we got home, we got some of her favorite "food", Burger King's Onion Rings !!!
Honey was so tired that after we got home and had some lunch, she went to sleep right the way. However, before she went to sleep, she handed me a beautiful charcoal jacket and she said that is for you. Awesome, that is exactly the style I was looking for after I saw a jacket of hers when I visited her. Honey, thank you so much. You are awesome and you are the best.
As I watched her body settling into bed and her falling asleep, I could not help but to kiss her forehead once again.
Seeing her and being together, once again for me, redefines the meaning of "happiness".
Honey, I love you and welcome home.
