《美》2008 Philly trip- July 4

July 4, B-day of the United States

we went to Liberty Bell and the Independence Hall. Luckily, we didn’t spend
much time waiting in line. After our tour, there was a super long line outside...
hahaha..



We also participated in the 4th of July ceremony. Although I didn’t know much
the exact traditions, I really enjoyed it at the ceremony.


After lunch time, we joined the ELI tour to ride horse-drawn carriage. I didn’t
know many ELI students, so we just shared a carriage with two ELI students
at random. We just rode in Old city. The tour guide introduced some history and cultures about Philly for us.
It was a little weird to share a carriage with strangers, but after we came back
Pittsburgh, we became friends. They are Julia and Wennie, and they are
sisters.


After riding carriage, we went back to the hotel to leave something (souvenirs) in our room and to be ready for the July 4 fireworks at Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Before going to watch fireworks, we had afternoon tea (or dinner) with Rob,
Peter and Sally at a bar on Walnut St.


After dinner, we went to their hotel to get their students to go to fireworks
together. We went there a little bit late. A parade was held. Rita and I ran to the
front of the parade, but just saw a part of it.

It was around 8pm!!!


We waited for the fireworks for a long long time. I looked so tired!


Finally, the fireworks was shot off at 11pm. Unfortunately, it was rainning while
the fireworks was displayed. It looked like fire, haha.. Or it must have been
beautiful.....



We went back to the hotel at midnight!!!!!



【註】再說一遍!!!人阿真的不能偷懶，之前懶得寫遊記，愈積越多~~~ 沒辦法就把我 Facebook 上的相本說明拿來貼，在加上一些內容，sorry 阿~~ 都是英文的，因為我懶得把它翻成中文再打一遍了.... 嘿嘿嘿嘿嘿~~~ 不要罵我!!! :)
