前一天搭了 11:15的 greyhound 從匹茲堡出發
車子拖到12點多才出發 但到費城只比原先晚半個小時到
清晨5:30我就到費城了!!!

由於 Rita 要到 7點到費城機場 我預估他也要8點半、9點才會到downtown
先前 已經在網路上查到 我們住的飯店 Marriott 樓下就有一間 Starbucks
於是我一出 greyhound 車站 就直接拖著行李去 找 Marriott
果然不遠 但是晴天霹靂的是 那間 Starbucks 在整修
Peter 之前跟我說 我可以先到 Reading Terminal Market 去那吃早餐等朋友
可是 到了那邊發現 其實 人家是8點才開門 6點人家還在補貨哩!!!
看來我只能再找另外的地方窩了~

心想 在美國 Starbucks 根本可以媲美我們的 7-11 了
要在附近找到另外一間應該不是難事
也許運氣不佳 我經過的地方就是沒看到 starbucks
後來憑著兩年前到過費城的印象 決定到我已經知道的星巴克去
雖然離我們飯店有點點距離~ 但至少確定我有地方可以窩著 (除非他關門!!)

稍作休息後

Rita and I met in downtown. Luckily we could check in the hotel early.

After leaving our luggage in our room, we went to the Reading Terminal Market, which is next to our hotel. We were starving, we hoped to find some good food
there.
It’s a kind of our cleaner traditional market. There are also some restaurants
there. We chose an America tradition brunch. The food was delicious, but
too much, so we couldnt finish them. We packed some of them back to the hotel.

see... our brunch looked very nutritious, right? Actually, they were both
delicious!!!



After having our brunch, we took a walk on South Street, which is full of a great diversity of cultures.

First, We visited the Phila Magic Garden. The designer/owner used a lot of
discards, such as glasses, wheels,and some strange stuff to decorate his
’garden’. However, I don’t think most people will like his design. For me, this
garden is just special but weird though.

Then, we went to Jim’s Steaks to eat the famous Philly cheesesteaks!
It is delicious but greasy. Highly recommend it but not eat too much while you are in Philly. :)

After eating cheesesteaks, we took a walk in the old city area. It is a historical
area, so many historical sites, architectures or buildings there.

The oldest fire insurance company in the US. Founded in 1752 by Ben Franklin and his friends.

At night, we went to Penn’s landing to watch movies outside..Just like when we were little, we watched movies in front of temples. But it was more special
because it was by the river and I could feel breeze!

We were exhausted because we didn’t sleep well whether on the plane or on
the bus. We went back to the hotel earlier than we expected!

休息是為了走更長遠的路ㄚ!! haha....
