The Ja Jiaozi, a Chinese Beijing chain, opens its first American outpost at The Market Place in Irvine. The restaurant, a 2,954 square foot space, brings seasonal offerings with no artificial coloring, preservatives or MSG.
Menu items include steamed, boiled and fried #dumplings in flavors such as cod fish and chives and the JA Signature with pork dried #shrimp and shrimp roe . Stir fried veggie , noodle dishes are available. House specialties include Braised Brisket with Quail Eggs . Appetizers range from Osmantus Cherry Radish, with date and mint, to Cactus Salad , with shrimp, arugula avocado and orange peel in a Japanese dressing.
