If you adore balmy lake breezes and a mild climate combined with peace and tranquillity - then Iseltwald is just the place for you. The picture-post-card resort offers both wonderful walks along the Lake Brienz shores and more demanding mountain hikes. Sporting attractions range from surfing, waterskiing and fishing to tennis and rowing or motor boat trips. The open-air swimming pool at the end of the village is a sunbathers paradise. Iseltwald's restaurants are renowned for their fine fish specialties. The village stages regular folklore and musical events in the summer months

Iseltwald is known for its little bay, its fine restaurants and the little island called «Schnaegge-Inseli» (transl. snail island), which lies just off the village in Lake Brienz. Historically Iseltwald has been known as the fishing village on Lake Brienz and to this day freshly caught fish of Lake Brienz can still be ordered in the local restaurants. Although the actual village is quite small, the community of Iseltwald owns property way up the mountainside to its south, which is still used as summer pastures by the local farmers.

There are many buses service from Interlaken Ols and West to Istltwald. After midday, you have to wait one hour if you miss the previous one and there is no bus service after 8pm. So, check timetable before you go. The trip is about 20 mins.
