Mercy Ministry is a ministry in my church, Swanston St Church of Christ, helping the Asylum seekers physically.

Of course God’s grace is not only helping those who are suffer physically but spiritually as well. Our aim is to guide them to find Christ.

What we do on Fridays is to distribute some food and offer them a free lunch. Through having lunch together, we can chart and have some fellowship. Building up the personal relationships is the first step.

I see not only God’s grace through this ministry, but also the others are growing in Christ. Greg Seymour said,”We as a Christian are like plants, stop growing = dead.” I agree to that.

Meeting the others are fun especially the Asylum seekers. How can I imagine that they walked through death to come here. When they asked for prayer for peace of their countries, it is much more then I can understand that I was born in an peaceful environment.

May God keeps pouring grace to these people.
