「Hi, Kate!」J says.

I smile. As usual, I am the first person he says hello to, sweetly.

「You know ..today is my last day in this branch.」he sits beside me and tells me.

How come? I thought that there are still couple weeks before he leaves!

「What ? Today? You should tell me earlier.」I can’t keep my voice down.

「What’s the difference? I mean, if I tell you earlier, you won’t do anything different.」

Damn! Can you just put away your pride for 5 seconds?

「I can give you a card….」 I do want to write something to him and I still can’t keep my voice down.

........................

It seemed that he blushed. I felt something at the moment; did he feel the same way? Was I wrong about this? The truth is, I might not be the prettiest girl here, but I was definitely the one he felt comfortable to be with around him.

It didn’t make me feel any better when he wanted to take a picture with me. He’ll leave anyway. I don’t get you, J, but I know I will definitely miss you.

As you and me, all of us know that if he comes back to Canada, he won’t come back to Taiwan. It doesn’t matter what you do, maybe go out for lunch or just hang out somewhere or see a movie…
Really! Just like friends, if your friend goes abroad, you will do the same thing, right???
So, don’t think too much. I am your back up.
