I didn't go to Eslitebooks Dwen-nan flagship store when I lived in Taiwan. Baby and his sister used to tell me that Eslite's flagship store is much like a big branch shop of Barnes & Nobles(America's biggest chain book store).

I finally went there for the first time this time....Well,it is big. Has lots of books and magazines. Totally outstanding among other bookstores in Taipei. However, I don't think it is similar to Barnes & Nobles.

Every BN stores offers chairs for the customers. Some branches even have Starbucks. You can buy a mocha, pick a good book, and settle comfortablly to spend the rest of your day.

But here, in Eslitebooks, there are no seats. Peple spread everywhere in the store, crouching on the floor.

I am not saying which one's better, yet each company has its own style. It is just different from what I thought before.

One funny part is, at the first 10 minutes I stayed in Dwen-Nan store, I already saw two people, respectively, taking picture inside the store; they dressed like a student, but used a professional camera. One girl was photographing closely to a book beside the cashier, and the other boy was standing on the aisle to catch the image of people reading magazines. I guess they may have personal journal on the web as well, who knows~ =P
