Lose Weight

It was like this: Last week I was in a boat trip with my colleagues. I wore T-shirt and skirt, nothing too extraordinary. I was enjoying my conversation with the middle-aged cruise owner, while my colleagues (male, including) were sitting besides me. It went to the time when the cruise owner was talking about her youth and how she was used to vomiting when riding boats. "In fact, I was just 91 lbs at that time. I was young like you though. But obviously you weight more than 100 lbs right?" Her words of explosion was followed by her contemptuous scan of my body, as if she could see through my clothes. The worst part wasn't this. I heard my boss laughed at her comment.

WHAT ON EARTH ? I said to myself, feeling some sweat on my back. I reacted promptly, " Oh.. Don't mention it any more." What else can I say? I was not prepared for this kind of sudden mockery. Then the pain got in. I was so sad to hear this comment, especially from some common stranger like she was. I guess I am not in the best shape, but to be commented like this by some random people in front of my colleagues? That's too much.

Yes, I am aware of my body shape these years. Maybe my genes, maybe my lifestyle, or maybe both of them together, I just can't stop myself from being fat. My supervisor once told me, " You are NOT fat. You are just not thin." Mind you, she said this before I had said anything about my being fat to her. She just brought it up out of nowhere. WELL, WHAT DID I SAY? I replied, " Thanks!"

So what else can I do? I have been asking this question to myself over and over. Now I have come up with the following solutions:

1. Yoga
2. More fruits and veggie, less chicken meat and red meat
3. Eat less per meal
4. Drink lots of water
5. Sleep early, get up early

Please let me know if there is any other suggestion. SOS!!!!
