聽說明天是七夕情人節，然後今天我又在醫院值班了。趁個小空檔介紹一首我很喜愛的曲目應景一下。Dan Hill的許多歌曲是情歌精選輯裡的常客，譬如Can’t We Try, It’s a Long Road和 Sometimes when we touch。然而這首Never Thought卻常成遺珠之作，願意將其收入的台版西洋情歌精選輯真是少之又少。但論曲調和歌詞意境我還是最喜愛描述愛情悸動的Never Thought.
這首歌曲打從一開始的前奏我就非常喜愛，然後歌詞敘說I can’t believe that you are real, How did I ever find you?等於讚嘆了愛情的美妙，讓一個凡人在對方眼裡竟是如此完美無暇到了不可置信的地步。You are the dream that saved my life. You are the reason I survived. You are the dream that never dies You are the fire that burns inside. You are the sunshine in the sky You are the sparkle in my eyes這兩兩成對的四個句子則是我認為這首曲子最經典的轉折之處，從平靜幻化成高昂，詞句卻又映襯的恰到好處，尤其是You are the sparkle in my eyes這段詞的確是深陷愛河的人才會有的感覺不是嗎？
在此一個如此傳統的美好節日，假設女方對這首歌不太認識，男方倒是可以拿來哼哼唱唱浪漫一下，當然用音響播也不錯啦。只可惜我沒有這首歌曲的黑膠唱片，但CD應該就夠吧。在此介紹給大家。
