第二篇是耶穌會前任總會長雅魯伯神父（Pedro Arrupe, S.J.）1980～1981

年於羅馬舉辦的「依納爵靈修中心的依納爵領袖課程（Ignatian Courses of the

Center of Ignatian Spirituality）」閉幕演講中的一段話：

“Feeling myself in the other, feeling the other in myself, 

accepting him and being accepted

is an ideal of supreme perfection, 

especially since I know that he is God's dwelling,

that every human being is God's dwelling.

Christ is in him, suffers and loves in him, 

is waiting for me in him.”

「在他人身上感受到自己，在自己身上感受到他人，

接納他人同時被他人接納，

這是一個最完美的理想；

特別是當我知道他人是天主的居所，

每個人都是天主的居所，

而基督在每一個人內，

在他內受苦，在他內愛，在他內等待著我。」

“God is within every man, waiting for me with his love, 

and this is a call that I cannot neglect...

God receives in others the love we have for Him...

The presence of each human being in my life becomes, 

transcendentally, a form of the presence of God,

and my acceptance of my brother becomes my implicit 

acceptance of God...”

「天主在每一個人內，用祂的愛等待著我，這是一個我無法忽視的召喚……

天主在他人內接受我們對衪的愛…… 

在我生命中臨在的每一個人超越地成為天主的一種臨在；

而我對他們的接受就隱微地成為我對天主的接受……」
