幾乎成為野柳地質景觀地標的女王頭蕈狀石，因為不斷的受到自然風化的影響，所以，雖然沒有服用任何的減肥聖品，或為坊間的瘦身中心代言過，其窈窕的身形卻日漸瘦削。
依據地質學者預估，在不受到地震、暴浪或其他人為破壞等外力的影響之下，女王頭至多只能再撐個十幾廿年，也就是說我們的後代小朋友日後只能從老照片中去憑弔，曾經屬於她的絕世風華了。
為此，雖然台北縣政府委託台灣大學研究蕈狀岩施用抗風化藥劑的可行性，希望藉以延長女王頭的壽命。不過，卻也引發了自然形成的女王頭是否需要加以人工保護或任其自然變化的爭議。
當我試著用貧瘠的想像力去思考這個答案時，心裡忽然泛起美國民歌一代宗師 Bob Dylan的一首著名創作歌曲(由「Peter, Paul & Mary」唱紅)…
