Words To Remember

I couldn’t forget those words since I read them in the Military Cemetery, Stanley, Hong Kong. Several years ago.

They’re sculptured on the top of a young man’s grave. "To the world, you are one of many. But to me, you are whole my world."

I can imagine how deep the Love between the couple was. It’s too sad that the young lady had to say Good-bye to the only one she loved. As earth and flowers were spread on her man’s coffin, all her colours were gone. She began to wait for the days which she could stay with her husband again. Today, about a hundred years after his death, I think the lovers are living in Heaven, sharing all the happiness and brightness. Till the end of Time.

Loves like theirs are hard to see in this generation though I do believe they exist. I’m wondering if I’ll be the one who can share her life with her world.
