1)      39 years, isn’t that enough?

I did complain to God. 

I have been the deacon for 39 years.

All the other deacons have become Elders but me. 

I told God I have spent 39 years serving Him.  Isn’t that enough? 

For the passed years,

the clergy nominated by the church board are

all those with high education.

You see,the two new deacons all hold a ph.D degree.

I don’t have high education, I only serve God with my heart.

Sometimes I wonder where God’s power is now? 

I treasured the days

when God is visible here in the church.  

 

2)      God’s Healing Power

In those days, we prayed, God healed.

We felt ashamed to go to the medical doctor for illness.

God did listen to us. We felt God’s presence.

He touched us with his amazing power.

But how come the things are no more that way now?

I remember the longest hours I had prayed for my elder son Yong.

He had high fever. We couldn’t afford to send for a doctor. 

I knelt down to pray, from 8:00pm till 5:00am next morning.

Every hour I stopped to feel his forehead. 

After midnight, his fever went down.

He was fine when the day broke out. 

God healed him

 

I often wonder now where God’s healing power is?

Till a few weeks ago,

Preacher reminded me of my sore arm.

He told me the twisted muscle might cause a lot of following symptoms. 

My arm had been hurt for a while.

I decided to kneel down to pray.

In my prayers,

I surrendered to God.

I told him I will let him lead me no matter what happens.

If He wants me to be a deacon of more than 39 years,

it is all right with me.  

No more complaints, I promised.

I told him I would like to be an obedient child at the presence of Him.

He is my Lord.

After I got up, you won’t believe.

All my pain was gone. My arm was cured.

I experience again God’s healing power.

 

4)      Yes, there is God. I feel His presence.
