20061208(生活點滴)- Negotiation is everywhere

記得Negotiation Pro裡面說的話
生活裡無時無刻不在negotiate

以前不覺得
聽到這段言論的時候有點懷疑
但是經歷過這學期Negotiation之後
好像還真的是這麼一回事

最近在跟爹娘討論未來生涯規劃的時候
意見紛歧的時候竟然下意識開始了negotiation process.

I made an offer first, and they rejected.
Then they gave me a suggestion, I rejected, too.
Then I made some concession after using silence tactic.
Actually, I didn’t plan to use those tactics, especially “silence” one.
I just didn’t know what I should or could say at that time.
However, then we started to reach some common ground by this small accident.

I think it is a good thing.
But, I felt a little guilty of using the knowledge and skills which they paid for me to learn on them.
