Songs that brought back the memories with someone:
I’m sure everyone must have some feelings toward certain songs
which reminds you of a person, an event, or a piece of your memory.
Every time I went to KTV, I always pick the songs with the lyrics
or the melody that I have feelings for.
Some of them represent a beautiful moment others reflects a sad story
in the past. There’s a mandarin song called “Fist Time”, a typical
love song about the 1st time a boy holds a gal’s hand, says I love you,
kisses her, …etc.
I got familiar with this song thru a CD that a guy personally chose for me.
The songs on that CD are all love songs by male singers. I remember I was
shopping at ShiMengTin that afternoon and humming a song alone the way.
He walked up to me and said, “I noticed you were singing when you walked
by the 1st time”. A rarely unusual pick up line that you would normally
hear from guys.
I don’t normally talk to people on the street but the way he approached me
didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. So I smiled and said
“Sorry, did I sing too loud?” That’s pretty much how we got to know
each other and I went out with him and his friends a couple times.They took me
to this place (People) that later became my fav lounge bar in Taipei.
Every time I hear this song, “First Time”, it reminds me of how I got to know
this guy. It’s a pity that our friendship didnt last but this song remains in my
memory and the CD still lays on my shelf.
Whenever I feel sad, I’d pick up that CD and let the melody flows in the air.
I never really have the chance to tell that guy that he does make a little
difference in my life. I guess that’s how life is, sometimes, you pass people
by without knowing that they are making a little change in your life. If I ever
got to see him again, I’d sure thank him for what he has done for me.
It’s more than a CD … it’s a memory that will last …..forever …
