My Thoughts about The Lord of the Ring



This great movie not only brings audience a sensory travel with

imagination and pleasures but also reveals many aspects of human nature,

which is a magic mirror itself reflecting intensely interesting problems

in our era. It's really hard for humankinds to resist the desire for

power, even though people may sacrifice their lives eventually. Take

Taiwan's presidential election for example, the desire for power

and advantages caused both parties and the whole country a big disaster.

Honesty and trust between individuals were all gone. Eventually, no one

won the election.

Back to the movie, the youngest hobbit Frodo, defeated the evil

side with his courage and faith, showing us a concept that a sincere

heart will generate a huge power overriding the power of evil. In other

words, no matter how much supernatural power a wizard or an elf has, the

leader of the justice team came to a common person with strong sense of

justice and resolution. Bravery and sincerity saved the future of the

world.


In the society we are living, there is always a wild gray area

between righteousness and evil, giving people excuses when they submit

to their weakness and choose to be the member of the evil group. Too

many paradoxical thoughts and slogans occupy people's minds, and just

few people want to be with truth. Who is willing to be Frodo in the real

world?
