Maybe I was amazing about how our friendship can last so long
So I decided to ask Jean a special question ” why do you like me?”

His answer makes me feel very warm... He said it as follows:

A french writer said one day when they asked him the same question you ask me (about frienship or love): ”parce que c’est lui, parce que c’est moi”. There is no rational explanation... just 2 people meeting and who like to share....common and different interests.

Can it be more simple like that? But I definately love the way he answer it!
