The Calling is located at the corner of Denman and Davie St,

just a few steps away from English Bay Beach.

Probably for this reason, a lot of people inside the pub were carrying a tour guide!

But as the other tourists, we were drawn to the pub mostly because of its location and the great view it offered of English Bay.

The menu offers your typical pub fares, and the food turned out to be good.

The pub itself is quite trendy but it offers a very nice and casual atmosphere -

some people were having a few drinks and sharing stories,

 others were watching the football games,

while a few others were simply reading and drinking coffee.

 

The decor is funky in a gothic sort of way,

 the view is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the food is amazing.

The food is a mix up of the same options you see at the other Donelly pubs,

not surprising.

You can sit in booths which overlook English Bay.

Great spot for an afternoon drink.
