Horseshoe Bay serves as a gateway community to adventure on British Columbia's Westcoast.

 This very picturesque village is the West Coast ferry terminus for BC Ferries to Departure Bay in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, to Bowen Island and Langdale on the Sunshine Coast.

It is also the starting point of the Sea to Sky Highway that hangs on cliffs as it winds its way along Howe Sound to Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.

 
 

Horseshoe Bay, one of the main ports for BC Ferries.

The majority of visitors to Horseshoe Bay travel there specifically to catch ferries to numerous destinations, including Nanaimo and Victoria on Vancouver Island, but there is one lane off of Highway 1 that instead of taking you to the ferries, brings you to the village of Horseshoe Bay.

 

Located at the entrance of Howe Sound, Horseshoe Bay is a bedroom community for Vancouver and area with interesting shopping, a marina and full tourist facilities.

What a adoriable baby!The father was hiding behide the stand.It's so lovely!!

 

 It’s well worth the side trip if you ever have a chance. wish my Bobo were here with me..

 I may take her to get on board too~
