At El Inka, they do have some dishes from other Central and South American countries, but the Peruvian food really shines.

The restaurant is brightly painted with a few small tables for dine-in service, but there’s obviously a good take-out clientele what with the sandwich menu and cold case (hence the “deli”). 

 It got quite busy at a point during the evening – not bad for a neighbourhood restaurant.

  

 The Good:
- Authentic Latin food
- Honest, sincere service
- Something a little bit different

The Bad:
- Prices are a bit on the higher side (roughly ~$18.00 per dish)

The ingredients were interesting: peanuts, dried potatoes, yellow chili paste -- and the food in general was a refreshing change from what I'm used to.

we realized had pages presented in different order from each other – this made things a little confusing. 

It's not a fancy place, but the friendliness of the owners make it feel comfortable.

Best deli and cafe bistro in Burnaby.

Delicious home made flavourful meals and a very happy and smiling owner/daughter combo.

The  dish was the winner of the night. Jalea Mixta, a mixture of lightly breaded and fried calamari, fish, and other seafood topped with the house / red onion pickle and tomatoes, served with lime wedges and deep fried cassava. From what I had, it was enough for me to plan to come back.

 The fish and seafood was done *just right*. and the pickle added a nice tang and moisture to the dish.$16.99
