杜鵑颱風為南部山區帶來豐沛雨量，曾文水庫在兼顧各標的用水需求考量下，依水庫運用要點規定，進行3次調節性放水、洩放接近約1座南化水庫蓄水量，南水局昨日召開水情檢討會議，邀各相關用水單位，持續監控水情，防汛兼抗旱，確保用水穩定。

鑒於10月份少雨，且時序已近豐水期末段，南水局強調，目前水庫雖吃飽飽，但未來降雨仍存有極大不確定性，若明年春雨及梅雨降雨量不足，以現有蓄水量，無法完全滿足至明年6月底各標的需求，在極端氣候頻傳的今日，呼籲民眾仍須以保守的態度謹慎面對，「有水當思無水之苦」，因應未來長時間的枯水季節。
