Eisley's "Telescope Eyes" has gone through a few versions–the old demo, the one on the EP Laughing City, and the final one on Room Noises.
Conclusion is, record labels would turn everything into a well-calculated up-tempo pop song and take away politically inappropriate lines like "you freak" and "I don't want your disease".
Still honestly I can't really tell which one I like best.
