Yogiism

Many athletes are most remembered by their good performances and the titles they have won, except one man. While being a Hall of Famer and holding all the outstanding records, Yogi Berra is best-known for all his “quotes.” Quitting school in his teens, Yogi has an ability to put the words together in an unconventional way, which is both odd and philosophical. His most famous ones include: “
If I didn't wake up, I'd still be sleeping”, “A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore”, “Even Napoleon had his Watergate” and “I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.”

One of my favorites is “It ain’t over till it’s over.” It’s like when you’re trailing 0-7 in a baseball game, two-outs in the ninth inning, do you just give up and call yourself out? No, because you still have the bat and you can still swing. Everything can happen in baseball, and it’s the same with life. I can fail all the tests before, and still pass the next one if I go for it; if instead I say, “There’s no way I’m going to make it,” it’ll be impossible. Even a tiny chance is bigger than no chance at all, and we should fight for that tiny chance until it’s over.

Yogi might be short in both height and education, but he is truly a wise man. And while everyone’s impressed, and also amused, by Yogi’s “Yogiism,” he denied the reputation by saying, “I really didn't say everything I said.”

(Relatively short...)
