Standing by the window and looking out from there,
the chain is still on the short wall,
that means what happened on yesterday is real,
...I did have a walk with you.
Many things happened yesterday, unexpected and unplanned,
all of them are wonderful.
First, I met Madam Shui at 松濤 automat at dinner time,
she is always friendly, and so open-minded,
she sat down with me and we had a very nice talk:
We talk about being relaxed is the best way from pressure and illness. She said that modern people are trained to lead a more effective life and to have our time well-scheduled. However, till now, she realized that we should look back to learn "to be like a child." Child have no prejudice. (分別心,我回應著說,when it’s time to eat, then they eat, when it’s time to sleep, then they sleep.沒有好惡執著)
This topic led us to talk about each other’s religious belief,
"life is a process...what we should do is only to do our best..."
she mentioned one friend from church encouraged other members to work hard in accordance to God’s will, however, she checked the Bible and found that all God wants for people is to do their best.
Work hard and do best are different.
It was a very nice talk with her.
Thanks her and thanks God and the whole world.
Next, Dr. Do, his former student, Kevin, and I went on a walk,
we talked and made jokes all the way,
sometimes I felt excluded from the joke when they spoke ’guyly,’ guy language, however I did appreciate their humor and wit in speaking.
It is quite nice to know a friend like that, especialy when the person is mature and smart. Dr. Do said he is very intelligent and when he was reading my paper, I know that I am not like that at all. Sometimes I look down upon myself, and now I know waht I want to be like: I want to be easy and confident and I want to be like a child without prejudice and be open-minded. And I want to be kind and compassionate.
The more compassionate one can be, the more wise one would be.
