Abnormal Psychology

A student left her textbook ”Abnormal Psychology” at the woodshop. It is incredibly uncomfortable to read. The title itself is tricky enough since ”abnormal” suggests the existence of a ”norm” that brutally justifies the majority and labels the rest.

The passages in the book are even more unbelievable. All the deviated states of human mind are termed as disorders. Syndromes and treatments are provided to diagnose and ”normalize” them.

Biodiversity is essential to survival and the environment. It is how nature works. Sadly textbooks like this are teaching college students to identify/rescue/eliminate precious versatility in human species. That is probably why so many people are busy out there messing around to save, civilize, and to ”free” people all over the world. Salute!
