I war grown up in an average small family. There are four people in my family. My younger brother is serving in the army, and he will be discharged from military service this April. My younger sister married for two years. Her husband was one of her elementary school classmates. And she has two babies now.
My parents were very busy while we were children, and we were brought up by grandparents. Till I studied in senior high, we children moved to live with parents. My father was the one who writes legal documents for others while someone want to buy a building, he could provide the information to help them. My mother was a cook worker in the hospital (TCST). Though she was a cook, she never cook delicious food at home. That’s a kind of occupational disease I thought.
All of my family are of a broadminded and outspoken disposition. And we are easy to get along with others.
One of my character is conservative. That’s maybe ( Cause I lived with grandpanents for a long time.) Cause I was brought up by grandparents since I was a baby.
In my family, unless we beyond the normal too far, parents wouldn’t direct or teach us what we should do or not. Hence we waste a lot of time to groped our way along the future road……?
Ordinarily I like to read, listen to music, go to the library, see the movies, play computers and go to GYM. Sometimes on the weekend, I like to date with old friends. When I was a student, I were not always head the list of sussessful candidates, I got intermediate grades. And I joined many kinds of groups since senior high.
I like to join the activities of YMCA in winter and summer vocation when I was junior and senior high. And I like to travel. After I graduated from senior high school, I went traveling around Taiwan for 2 weeks with one of my classmates by train. It was an unforgettable memory. My interest is music (though everyone in my country think nothing but entering a higher school, pay no attention to the real purpose of education.)
I joined the chorus in the second semester of freshman. And I planed to join different activities in every vocation. For example, the first winter vocation of freshman, I joined the group of International Trade Association set up by YMCA. And the summer vocation of freshman to saffomore, I stayed in Kaohsiung and I went to the laboratory of physiology to know how the work in that kind of environment. On the other side, I went to “global ?” to improve the ability of English.
In the first year of my university life, I just try to fulfill all of the time, on daily time, after class, I was a private tutor of a elementary school student. But it was really hard. What I had to do was not only teach, but also had to take the responsibility of the student’s daily life, her mother asked me so. The student didn’t have father, and her mother was too busy to care about her. So I had much pressure to care about her lessons even life. After about two months, I resigned from the job. The student said that I was easy going and she often bullied me and I didn’t care about it.
In the first year, I refuged a chance to be a handcore member of the class and the association of chorus cause there were too much difficult things off the campus and I had to be used the new living style. Though Kaohsiung is a part of Taiwan, I have to spend much time to used to live here…?Like….I have to buy battles of ”water” and I have to know where to buy food….somewhat…
The second year sophormore, I transferred the attention to the community of my living, and took charge of photographer of chorus association and the vice president of the class. It was really busy life and at the same time we prepared for the presentation of chorus in the winter vocation in German. I couldn’t describe how pressure I had. And there were no family live with, and we had to do everything by ourselves. We went to Europe for two weeks punctually in the winter vocation at my saffomore. The school started on the next day we back Taiwan. And we almost had no time to adjust the equation of time.
The nest semester, I paid all attention on the lessons. And did some service to the community of the church in the community’s center. The summer vacation of safformore to junior, some members of the community led a team of Children English Camp for one week for the children of the community and the church. It was really unforgettable and I couldn’t believed that those children are so…..*__*
In junior, we (practiced) were trained in the hospital all the year. Terrible lives of one year. Though we read a lot, while we touch with people(patients and patients’ family), it was different from we thought. In the beginning(Formerly), I couldn’t speak Taiwanese at all. After that year, I could speak Taiwanese as well as Engligh…..haha.
And it was also my first time to study in the hospital for so long time. And the station (subjects) I had trained are the general medicine of live…, urology, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology maternity, pshchiatry, orthopedics, the surgery of neurology, the administration of public affairs of the health center for two weeks (cause SARS, the training was shorten half). And we went to the local health center for one month to learn how they work. After this one year, I improved many skills of medical communication to collect the basic information of the cases and the ability of preparing a case report, papers translation, analyzing, time controlling, and the most important thing is more independent.
At the graduation season, it was the same duration of SARS. It was an unforgettable memory…We could see all Taiwanese feel insecure. I really thought that the government didn’t pay attention on the system of medical treatment. They Most people only saw the medical insurance of medical, but few people care about the quality. And I even loss the confident of my major-nursing. I was worried about the future then.
Many schoolmates said that western Countries like America and Canada’s medical treatment system are better than Asia’s so much. I really want to know how the did it. We human beings are not like other animal, right? When we were sick, we should be treat more….respective
SARS duration, we could see the harmful (adverse effects) of the flaw system. In different points of view to reviews the incident, there are many spaces to correct.
