After the Québec City trip, Montréal is nothing but just a big city with a river running through. I need to leaf the pictures I took to recall the memories for this writing.
I learned ”de”, ”du” and ’la” in Franch may stand for ”of”, ”at” and ”the”, and also learned ”road” and ”stop” in Franch while driving. With the $42 CND ticket for illegal parking because of no correct sign in English to explain the parking rules in downtown area, I don’t think the city welcome us so much.
The hill (Mont Royal) with the university and St-Joseph’s Oratory, the night street, the big underground mall, the Olympic Park, the historical places along the river, the Notre-Dame, and the bad traffic in downtown area and the jam during the rush hours on each bridge, you can easily find the analogies in another big city.
Compared with Québec City, probably the only area I like here is the rich English residential area along Sherbrooke Street, in which we visit by accident.
PS: the picture is the construction in a island in Montréal, and I don’t exactly know what that is
