"Esc" means "escape", which means the act of getting away from a particular place or situation.
After brooding over the past, now, and the future of mine during the month of my birthday, I made up my mind to escape from the style of my past, which was filled with animation, especially when I was a university student.
Though there were lots of great memories there when I studied in Tainan, they all had passed away.
