但在第一集中我看到的不只是男人的焦慮與其家庭的害怕
也是每個人在生命中會遇到的難堪與悲哀
當Beth(wife) 抱著哭泣的Huff(husband)時,觀眾會發現人如此脆弱與不堪
當15歲的Byrd(son)告訴Huff(fater)可以隨時來找他因為"I'm your son, you can rely one me"(我轉譯),本人眼淚已經準備好了
這就是ㄧ個人的生活點滴

HUFF, Showtime's newest 13-episode dramatic series, is the story of Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt, portrayed by multiple Emmy® Award-winner Hank Azaria, a family man and a successful psychiatrist who gets a wake-up call after a tragedy occurs with one of his patients. His whole existence – as a doctor, husband, father, son and brother – will go through a reawakening, and life will never be quite the same again for anyone. The series co-stars Paget Brewster, Anton Yelchin, with Blythe Danner and Oliver Platt.
Azaria is "Huff," a psychiatrist, whose life and career conspire to blur the lines of reality, often causing his so-called normal world and family life to be as surreal as that of his patients. He deals with the functionally insane all day, and when he comes home, he's faced with the daily insanities of family life.
When one of Huff's patients, a 15-year-old boy, commits suicide in his office, Huff's life is sent reeling. He struggles with having to face legal liability in connection with the boy's death and is tortured by feelings of guilt and inadequacy. Even at home, Huff's nurturing nature is tested at nearly every turn as he endures and deals with the conflicting personalities within his own family, the most severe of which is his brother Teddy (ANDY COMEAU), a diagnosed schizophrenic living in a locked facility. At mid-life, Huff now begins to question who he is, what he's made of and how he fits in – anywhere.
"HUFF came to life from wanting to write a script about waking up," says series creator and executive producer Bob Lowry. "Most people don't wake up until they learn they're going to die. The suicide is Huff's wake up call. But like all the rest of us, he falls back asleep a hundred or a thousand times a day."
