If I were Christopher, I will get shock, too. “How come mom doesn’t dead and move to London? What’s wrong between mom and dad? They divorced or not?” I think I might ask these questions and observe what is going on.
Christopher is totally different from a normal kid, so he will feel frightened about his dad killing Mrs. Shears’ dog, Wellington. People like Christopher might think a lot of things like whether his dad is going to kill him or not. And it’s really brave for Christopher to go to London along, this really impressing me a lot.
Why does Christopher writes about himself? Because this murder mistery is real. It happens right over there, in his life. And the time line is like this :
True→ story→ true →real world
When he was writing the story at home, he thought about things that happened before. And after he found out “who kills Wellington,” then all the things can put together, it’s not like a puzzle anymore.
When you read more about this book, you can find that , actually, Christopher is living in a murk family. His mom goes out with another man and never comes back again, writing to Christopher after she has gone. And this is contradictory. His father then slept with another woman.
