哥哥首次交換學生之旅 ~ Day 6 Crissy field+Gulf of Farallones+Humphrey Slocombe

今天是一個特別的日子~HOME爸生日!!
昨天一直找機會和哥哥說:一早起床時，一定要和HOME爸說聲生日快樂!!
記得要用英文說咧.....

Today is Ling's birthday but as he had to leave for work by 6:30am, I woke the
boys up for a birthday breakfast at 6am. That's why Ethan and Eason are still in
pajamas and still look sleepy.
HOME爸都是6:30am就出門上班，孩子們為了要和爸爸說聲生日快樂，一早就
起床和HOME爸來一個溫馨的早餐約會~~ 生日快樂喔!!!
This is our family's traditional birthday breakfast. It's long life noodles with egg.
這是HOME媽家"傳統生日早餐"，一碗麵中有著濃濃中國的祝壽菜色，長壽麵+蛋，
好溫馨的感覺喔!!
I also made our packed lunch. It's yakisoba with sausage and egg and broccoli.
哇!! 今天的午餐內容不僅豐富，連顏色上的搭配都看起來好好吃喔!
With a drink and apple and string cheese. Eason really like the string cheese. Too
bad he can't bring them back to Taiwan as they are perishable.
每天的午餐準備，真的是不容易咧....完全可看出HOME媽用"心"做出孩子的午餐。
我每天看這起司條，也是越看越有趣，真的很想叫我兒子帶回來吃吃看!!
We're taking the muni to school today. It's just 3 mins walk from our house.
今天是搭Muni上學。 今天的天氣很不錯喔! 很適合校外教學呦~~
In the muni. We're 4 stops from school so from door to door it only take about 25 mins.
到學校只需要搭四站，總共花上25分鐘就可到校喔!!
The kids get to play in the playground before lining up to go to class.
五年級的孩子到校後，在playground聊聊天。CAIS的孩子一定很想一起去
校外教學......
The CAIS kids go straight to class while the Ren-Ai kids head for their meeting room.
時間到了!! CAIS回教室上課，仁愛的孩子往會議室前進.....
Today they're going to Crissy Field for some bay area environment and biology
program. The Ren-Ai teachers talk to the kids about the trip and they had some
time to write in their diary.
老師講解今天校外教學的地點~ Crissy Field ，這是港灣區，蘊藏著許多海岸自然
生態裡的生物或植物。今天的功課要寫出校外教學的體驗及發現喔!!
Eason is saving the space next to him for his best friend Wei.
連我們家媽媽都看出Wei是哥哥的好朋友，因為他都會幫他佔位子....拍謝咧，
其他同學~~
We left school around 9:30am and after a 20 min bus ride, we all arrived at
Crissy field. We get to ride in the traditional US yellow school bus! This is my
first time so I was super excited..... the kids were not particularly impressed.
9:30離開學校，約20分鐘的時間就到了Crissy field。我的home媽說，這是
她第一次搭"美國式的黃色校車"出去玩，可興奮的呢!
我對這個"美國式的黃色校車"很有興趣，是因為之前有看過一部西洋片，片名
是creeper jeepers，它出了很多集，其中，第二集的場景就是在校車上拍的，
有點恐怖，但還蠻好看的! 【creeper jeepers 2】
Crissy field is next to the Golden Gate Bridge. I often bring visitors here for a photo
of the whole bridge. It's also an off leash area for dogs so I usually bring Rusty too.
Crissy field緊鄰著Golden Gate Bridge，在這裡可以很容易拍出金門大橋全景。
It's another beautiful day in San Francisco!
能夠在這樣的藍天、港灣及大橋前散步著，真的很幸福耶!
Once we arrived at the National Marine Sanctuaries visitor center, a conserva-
tionist came to talk to the kids. They had a full day program planned for us.
孩子將在 the National Marine Sanctuaries visitor center有一整天的行程。
Talking about our bay environment and the plant and animals that live in it.
保育員很認真地為孩子們講解，舊金山灣區內有哪些植物及動物。
The kids were paying close attention.
HOME媽說，孩子們聽得很認真! Good guys!
此地區的fb【gulf of the farallones】可看出此中心對自然生態的保
護，真的是不遺餘力~~
The students were divided into 2 groups. Our group went to the beach first.
Mr. Pete talked to us about what we can find on the beach.
孩子們被分為兩組，我們這一組先到海邊，由Mr. Pete為孩子們解說。
The kids were charged with looking for something animal, plant and rubbish.
Mr. Pete先請孩子們先到海邊走一走、看一看，自已能發現哪些動物、植物
，甚至是有哪些垃圾。
大夥都很用力的找......
哥哥和同學找到的東西。
Once we collected the items, Mr Pete explained to us where the items come
from and what are their roles in the beach.
Mr. Pete將孩子們撿回來的東西先分類，逐一告訴孩子這些動植物的來由，
或其在此海域中所扮演的角色。
第一階段的活動結束囉~~
Next, we looked at some planktons in the microscope. Eww...
回到室內用顯微鏡來觀察浮游生物的樣子。
Then, it's finally lunch time! Yeah! 中餐時間到囉~~今天的飯友Wei及Eric !!
Then we dissected some squid. Most kids find this the most interesting
part of the program.
下午要來解剖小章魚囉!! 孩子們都對這堂課感到非常有興趣。
老師很認真講解章魚的構造。

這張照片讓媽媽我很緊張耶?! 是我兒子問問題? 還是他不認真? 還是上課不乖?
孩子們自己開始解剖囉~~ 我家哥哥的小肌肉一直都不靈活，好險，home媽
上來即時解圍~~
成功囉~謝謝同學的幫忙!! (仔細看! 同學的食指上有已解剖好的章魚喔!!)

On our way back to the bus, we stopped for group photo in front of the Golden Gate
Bridge. Who can resist?

Once back at school, we head out to the Ferry building. The Ferry building has some
interesting shops. As it was a hot day, we decided to get the kids some ice cream float.
看得出來今天的天氣真的很熱，一下課，home媽就帶哥哥及安安去逛逛街，順便也
去透清涼一下~~
Wow... long queue at the ice cream stall.
來甲冰囉~~ 還排隊排很長呢!!

這家冰店好像還蠻有名的呢!!
I have a mocha instead. After all whoole day with the Ren-Ai kids at Crissy field, I
really needed it!
home為自己點了一杯熱摩卡，這時候真的很需要來一杯提神! ~~ 我懂!!
The Bay Bridge is a short walk from the Ferry building. All the kids looked a bit sun
burned! I did make them put sun screen in the morning. Maybe I need to ask them to
put more.
冰店的旁邊可到The Bay Bridge，今天的太陽真的很曬，孩子們可能都有小小的曬傷。
沒關係，回去擦擦藥就好了拉!
At the arrow and bow statue.The kids had fun climbing up the side and slide up the bow.
Ah.. to be young and full of energy again.
鏡頭往後拉，原來這個作品是一把弓及一支箭。
Time to go home! 要回家嚕~
今天的晚餐~ ribs,
Chinese broccoli,
cream of celery soup (Eason didn't like this one).
They finished their homework by 8:30pm so they were allowed to watch an episoleof
Phineas and Ferb. Then it's brushing teech and early to bed. I'm beat today; early
bedtime for me too. Tomorrow is another day of field trip with the kids. Good night!
今天約8:30pm大家就完成了全部的功課，home媽給他們看了一下卡通，然後就刷牙
早早上床睡覺，明天又是校外教學的日子囉~~
美國的教育方式真的很不同，不僅教學上教法活潑，還時時不忘告訴孩子環保的概
念，我想，這真的很值得我們學習......
