Resonance is a process of forming a standing wave. When an object responds sympathetically to a wave of a particular frequency, we say that it is resonating. There are two kinds of waves: propagating (e.g. sound waves) and standing (e.g. vibrating guitar strings). Tension is almost the reason why different frequencies are produced in different objects. Some objects resonates with all frequencies, others resonates with only a bounded range of frequencies. That means if the wrong type of frequency is applied, no matter how strong the wave is, there will be nothing going on.

In Chemistry, resonance is explained through these physics properties. In daily lives, I explain myself in this way too. No other explanation is better than this when it comes to the reasons of why I choose my life in the way it is now.

Excellent example: The sound wave that travels along the classroom comes from the standing wave that is produced in the voice box of Gray. The frequency of this wave resonates within me and makes the neutrons inside my body more comfortable to send impulses to my brain that I feel the intimacy I need.
