每個星期五早上九點鐘本部門有一個東亞電話會議
由東京,上海,首爾,台北,香港五個國家的同事dial in a pool
所以平常上班準時到的我與不準時到的律師
必須最晚在8:55整進到會議室
然後等日本大主管來主持約五十分鐘的會議
大主管是個澳洲人
他講的澳洲腔對熟悉美國腔的我超級不習慣的
不過他注意的對象當然不會在我這類小助理的身上
大部份都是講一些激勵律師的話要不就是派一些功課給律師做之類的!
因為我們部門是越來越龐大了
所以它們前陣子在電話會議上多了一個session
就是GETTING TO KNOW YOU SERIES
每個禮拜一位成員來做自我介紹
因為我即將成為這部門的一份子
所以7/6就是我發表演說的日子
老闆在回去上海前交代我要把演講稿給他過目
他知道我英文並不是那麼的好
很怕我給他出槌-.-
老實說要在二十位同事面前講這些我心裡也挺怕的
好險不是面對面,不然一定好幾天睡不著覺的
講稿對我來說是件容易的事
畢竟講自己的事是大學一畢業開始找工作就必備的
頂多把較為嚴肅的議題改為輕鬆有趣點罷了
可惜本人文法程度普普..
沒辦法變出太深奧的文章
重點是不熟的英文字我唸出來也怕大家聽不懂啦!

Hi, morning everyone :
I’m very glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Patty.Sam & Stephanie like to call me Pat. I was born in Tainan City. It’s the oldest city in Taiwan. My grand parents moved from Mainland China because of the war. Our family have the royal blood in Ching dynasty. That means if Ching dynasty still exist for one hundred years, I will be a princess. In China,they will call me 格格. That’s very impressed story.
As for my family, My parents was government officers. But they have retired.
I’m the first child in my family. I’ve two younger sisters.
After I graduated from university in Tainan, I decided to work in Taipei.In the university, my major was international business.So I think I should work in International Business.
My first job was intern Manager in McDonalds. I was good at cook during that time. After 3 months, I think that kind of life was not what I expected. So I resigned and been a Project Administrator in IBM for 4 years. After that, I became a Department Secretary in International Railway Engineering Group.
It was my first time working with foreign colleagues. Because that kind of environment, I learned how to communicate with foreigner and allow me to work effectively in Standard Chartered Bank.
As for my personal interest, I like to dance. I won several prizes & rewards as cheer team leader, played a show in Year End Party that was hold in previous Companies.
So…that’s me. I feel great to join in Wholesale Bank Legal. Thanks for Sam, Stephanie & Mion in past 6 months. They are excellent role models in my career.
