Balvenie New Oak 17yo 43% OB

C: amber

21 N: fresh fruits, coconut, tangerine juice, a little green prune, green apple peal, followed by some cream, honey, vanilla and cinnamons

21 T: medium, a little dry, good texture w/ rich fruits, grapefruit, melon peal, a little quince, cherry, some coconut milk,柚木, honey

21 F: medium->long, a little sandal wood cask, honey, cinnamons, finished in some liquorices and grapefruit

22 B: good balanced, young, active and complexes, still variant, very good cask!

 

Balvenie Rum Cask 17yo 43% OB

C: amber

22 N: some sweet, fresh fruits, grapefruit, prune,柚木, a little ginger, vanilla, w/ a hint of plastics? Caramel, then more sweet fruits come up

20 T: medium, a little dry and spicy, rounded w/ fruity, vanilla, tangerine peal, prune, a little bitterness w/ beautiful wood cask

20 F: long, sweet and juicy, tangerine peal, vanilla, fresh prune, good extension

20 B: good balanced, both for N & T, easy to drink, a well matured bottle, but expected more variation..

 

Balvenie Sherry Oak 17yo 43% OB

C: deep amber, 核桃木

22 N: plum w/ beautiful and clean sherry, followed by some fresh raisin,佛手柑, then a little 八仙果皮, chocolate

21 T: medium -> full, a little dry and spicy, plum, orange, raisin,佛手柑,八仙果, grapefruit, then more fruits come up from the middle of tongue

21 F: medium, plum, prune, raisin, orange peal, chocolate and cocoa

21 B: good balanced, still active, complexes and good extension

 

Balvenie Islay Cask 17yo 43% OB

C: amber

22 N: smoky fruits w. some sea wind in the air, grapefruit, followed by some ginger, cream, vanilla, and then some melon peal, lemon cake, deep and beautiful. Some hint of peaty all the way.

21 T: light -> medium, a little dry w/ smoky and sweet fruits, good texture

22 F: long, fruity, heather, vanilla, cooked fruits, a little salty, peaty and liquorices at the end

21 B: good balanced, somehow like old Bunnahabhain, enjoyable~

 

感覺整體表現很平均,中規中矩,若價格再平易近人一點,真的很適合平常飲用~ 當然,Islay Cask在TWE已高,可遇不可求了..
