Hello,

This is my first email after moving to London.
My everyday life in the new city is surprisingly simple.
Working from home in the morning,try out different lunch place at noon,go swimming in the afternoon,maybe go to a film,
and take a long walk in the Hyde Park in the evening.
I didn't watch that much TV or leave radio on much.
Although I live only a block away from the touristy Queensway,
it almost feels like I am in a village.

I also got in touch with my old friend Yaow from school days.
I remember her being the wild child and had love connections
with a Tibetan gangster.She is now married to a BBC
(British born Chinese)and lives with the in-laws only 5 minutes walk from me. Incredible. We agree to find some time next week to meet up.

She is also kind enough to tell me where can I find Thai groceries - which is a great help because I really don’t like English food that much.

So how is your life? Have you read any interesting books?
My new discovery is Accomodating Brocolli in the Cemetary :
Or Why Can't Anybody Spell by Vivian Cook,which I found at Waterstone Bookstore when I tried to avoid afternoon rain shower yesterday.
Fun read.By the way, I heard from my editor that my new book
is now #9 on Page One’s bestseller. That reminds me that
I have never been to Building 101 yet. I should really do that when
I am back to Taipei in June.
