The first contention for my agreement is that people should pay forwhat they have conducted. What I am telling is a concept called "EnvironmentalJustice," which means that it is immoral for the public to suffer from environmentalthreats made by specific groups of people. With the same idea based on theKyoto Protocol, which states that countries need to pay for over-emitted carbondioxide, it is reasonable to charge fees from travelers, or more specifically,from the pollution they have made. The extra payments should be considered as travelers’regret for the negative results they lead, and be spent on taking care of the environmentalsufferers.
The other consideration is that the authorities concerned have theduty to teach the public a lesson about being responsible for the place welive, the Earth. We have only one beautiful earth that every human being needsto protect. However, the crisis now is that people only care about what theywant and ridiculously think that others will rescue the dying earth. If weneeded to pay more for our polluting travels, we would start to understand thateveryone needs to give an effort to the promising future, not just enjoy ourprivilege to worsen the environment now. We should give our descendants achance to see the amazing earth.
In conclusion, for the reasons presented above, I believe thatlevying taxes on air traffic will alleviate the serious impact on theenvironment.
