The vacation that I will never forget. During the summer of 2006, I visited Canada with my father and sister. We visited our relatives that we have not seen for many years. They live in Abbotsford and in Vancouver in British Columbia. The most memorable event during my visit in Canada was when we travelled to Victoria, B.C. We took the ferry bus across to the island where we stayed at the most beautiful hotel, the Empress Hotel. It is famous for its elegant tea service and the antique look of the exterior.

Victoria was a very fun experience. I went with a tour along with my two cousins and my sister. My father remained in Abbotsford with my aunts and uncles. One of my cousins is from France also visiting Canada. My other cousin is a local born in Vancouver. We left Vancouver in the morning and boarded the ferry bus which took about 3 hours to arrive.

In Victoria, there were street performers juggling with fire and bands playing instruments. I remember walking by the water during the night and enjoying the beautiful lights reflecting into the water from the buildings. We also shopped in the shopping malls but did not find anything appealing to my style. I was happy to have spent lots of time with my cousins who have made my trip very memorable.

I will never forget the time I spent in Victoria. We stayed in a magnificent and famous hotel. I will cherish my memories for a very long time. I feel lucky and appreciate the chance to have been able to travel to Victoria and gain some life experiences.
