Dear Mrs. Miles,
Nice to meet you! I am a new student who was born to have a curious and outgoing personality from Taiwan. I’m fond of singing. I’ve taken part in many singing contest, being invited to perform on stages at my previous school. I feel like rescuing our society, which is getting cold and detached gradually. Though I’ve got a great ideal, never did possible methods appear in my brain. Besides, I have a big family containing 8 people who I love deeply and lots of friends who care about me a lot. I cherish the intimacies with them and always thank God for what I own.
This is my first year in SCIS and the first year in a school teaching without first language as well. Though I did an outstanding job on English in Taiwan, learning everything in a foreign language is a huge challenge. Either understanding all the content what teachers are teaching or following the speed of reading in class stresses me. Looking words up in a dictionary for tomorrow’s course even take me more than one hour per day. However, on account of the dream of being an English teacher, having the opportunity to study in SCIS is really precious to me. I’ll keep doing my best in order to reach the goal.
Thank you for reading my letter. Hope you can know me better through it. It’s glad to take American and British Literature. I’m looking forward to achieve a good education from you.
