荷蘭的Within Temptation是我目前最喜歡的哥德搖滾團體，
雖然女主唱Sharon den Adel是個瘋癲做作女，但完全不影響我的聽覺。
2007年這張The heart of everything，可說是這個團體問世以來的代表作(以我個人而言啦！)
畢竟還是有人喜歡之前的The silent voice或是Mother Earth.
但我還是喜歡搖滾多一點的哥德。
就我粗淺對哥德音樂的解釋，他具有天使與撒旦的聲音，
天使就是女vocal，而撒旦會由嘶吼男vocal來演繹。
哥德搖滾難唱的原因在於，
你不只要能唱出搖滾的爆發力，聲線還要有著天籟般的細緻，
因為在同一首歌中，女演唱一定要同時展現這兩種差異極致的聲音表現法。
很難。
這種音樂類型絕對是很多女歌手望之卻步的一種型態，
因為她必須具備高音樂天賦來詮釋美聲。
流行歌曲的音域通常都在一般女聲可掌控範圍中，
大部分的歌只要你不是個絕對音癡，每個女生都能唱好。
哥德的美聲就真的是唱詩班的水準了，
而哥德金屬的搖滾，就真的是rocker的水準了。
所以，駕馭了哥德搖滾就可以駕馭現今流行樂壇的所有歌曲。
哥德音樂有一些符號在歌詞中，
像hell, die, fall, kill, drown, soul, sleep, cold, dark, save...，
闇黑就是要盡其可能的跌落、折磨、嘶吼、尋找一線光明.....
那一線光明就是以女聲的輕柔婉轉作為代表。
總之，這種音樂類型我非常喜愛，
雖然是闇黑，但聽了很有衝入音樂的力量。
