I got Carl’s Christmas card last week. I’m sooooo....happy that he sent me card again on Christmas. Although we didn’t write e-mails to each other very often, he still thinks of sending me a card on special days like Christmas. Honestly, I’m really apreciated his consideration and sweetness.
Carl is one of my classmates when I was in States. since the orientation, we began really good friends. He speaks English slowly, but with terrific voice, especially he’s Swedish accent or I should say British accent. He’s from Sweden where I never dreamed of meeting someone from. Getting to know him became one of the most wonderful things ever happened to me during my stay in States.
He’s blond, but not really tall or strong. He’s skinny and he’s around 178cm tall I think. He’s very easygoing and fun to hang out with. I remebered that he often waited for me to finish taking pictures of everything either around the Smithsonian area or walking to the library at school. I like taking pictures of anything, and he knows that. So he’s being a nice gentleman to me all the time.
When the new South Korean classmates came, he tried so hard to help him out because his English is uncommunicatble. Also Carl invited me to help Jin Ho Nan wherever we went or whenever we had things to do.
Carl is a young farmer in Sweden, but I don’t think he’s the sterotype farmer. He’s good looking, you know how Swedish look. This year he told me he’s working on his potatoes farm and join some leadership course in St. Petesburg in Russia last October. He also met Dana twice when she was visiting Sweden.
After receiving warm wishes from Carl, I’ve been dreaming about planning to visit Sweden. At the same time, I just realize that we have some Swedish students in Taiwan learning Chinese. I guess no matter how far it is, as long as you have the motive or I should say the chace, then we’ll know the people from all over the world!
After another year, I’m still feeling great about knowing Carl. He’s my beginning to discover the most beautiful city in North European countries.
