Love, L'amour, El amor, 
a word not easy to grasp
in most cultures.

When you love someone, 
do you want to love, 
or do you need to love?

Could you pass any day
without thoughts of this person
crossing the corridors of your mind?

Do you draw dependency,
be it of emotional or economical?

Or perhaps, you cannot escape
its warm embrace, 
the cocoon of tenderness?

I love you, not because I need you, 
and certainly not because you need me.

I love you, inspite of your faults 
and your imperfections.

I love you, not til the end of time, 
nor to the end of the world,
but certainly until your love for me 
comes to an end,
or until I breathe my last breath.

I love you, 
'cause I wish to love you.
