God teaches us to love and pray for our enemies
the first thing you must change is your ATTITUDE
you must want him to be happy
if he calls you, good. if he doesn’t call you, good.
whatever he needs to do to be happy and not stressed.
yes, that’s love, my dear

why do we love God?
because He loved us FIRST
if you want someone to make you happy, first you have to make THEM happy

but if you pretend to be happy, then maybe he will think you ARE happy
so, you can tell him that you wish he would call, but he must know that he never ever HAS to.

and you know, if you ask someone, ”how are you?”
eventually, they will ask: ”and how are YOU?”
it’s the same in your attitude: if he feels that you are constantly thinking about what would make him happy, eventually (not after one day), he will start to think more about what makes YOU happy, too

so, i think you need to pray a lot.
