at the north of littleroot town is route 101
you will see a kid wait at there
and then, you will heard someone's shout
it's professor birch, dad of your rival. he will ask you to choose one of the 3 pokemon to battle with a poochyena.the poochyena is easy to defeat, but you need to choose your starterpokemon wisely because it will affect the 'future' of the game.
go near to fetch his bag and choose one of the pokemons.
torchicthe fire type pokemon. you will face a little difficulties in thebeginning because the first gym is rock type gym. but it will be strongbecause it's special attack increase rapidly and will beat the rest ofthe gym easily in the end. i choose this fire type pokemon.
treeckothe grass type pokemon. you will beat the first gym easily but you willface many difficulties in the end because most of thr gym except rocktype gym can knock out grass pokemon easily. never choose this pokemonbecause it's not strong.
mudkipthe water type pokemon. it's defend is fantastic and it can learn manytype of attacks in the end. you can choose this pokemon as your starterpokemon.
first battle with wild pokemon. you can use potion when necessary. it's easy to defeat poochyena because it only knows 'tackle'
after that, professor birch asked you to go to his lab and then your pokemon adventure begins!
