I really admire your positive attitude. Indeed, love is supposed to be sweet, not bitter. Love is supposed to make people stronger, not weaker.

I read a book the other day. It said,
"You can't awake a person who pretends to sleep;
you can't heal a person who pretends to be sick."

We all encounter some obstacles in our life, but we need to have faith in ourselves. Try to face the challenge, not to escape or hide. He should work on that unless he doesn't want to continue this relationship.
